| Description: |
This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by Dalhousie University (“University”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the Provincial Geophysical Assessment and Data Acquisition Project, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the “Deliverables”). The University, in partnership with the Province of Nova Scotia (the “Province”) is herein issuing a RFP, to solicit proposals from qualified geophysical consulting firms to undertake a Provincial Geophysical Assessment. This RFP is administered by the University on behalf of the Province. The University (in consultation with the Province) reserves the right to amend, cancel, or reissue this RFP at its sole discretion. This initiative supports the modernization of Nova Scotia’s Minerals Play Fairway Assessment (MPFA) and the strategic enhancement of provincial geophysical datasets to advance mineral exploration and investment attraction. The existing MPFA methodology is documented in Minerals Play Fairway Report (October 2018). Advances in mineral systems science, evolving exploration priorities, and improved analytical approaches necessitate a comprehensive review and update supported by new geophysical data acquisition. The intended outcome of this project is a modernized Minerals Play Fairway framework supported by strengthened provincial geophysical datasets suitable for public release and the advancement of priority projects within the Province. The Minerals Play Fairway framework should have well documented methods and evidence-based recommendations. Dalhousie invites technically rigorous, solutions‑oriented proposals that integrate mineral systems analysis, geophysical planning, targeted geophysical data acquisition, data integration and interpretation and technical reporting. The successful proponent(s) will enter into an agreement with the University for completion of the work described herein. Please Note: To ensure the latest information and updates regarding this bid, the onus is on the bidder to ensure they are monitoring the bidding system for issued addenda, clarifications and instructions that may impact submissions. |
