Since 2009, Dalhousie University has issued smart cards to all its students, staff and faculty. Dalhousie has a population of 30,000 active accounts across four campuses and employs mag stripe and prox technologies to control building access on over 2,000 doors across campus. Until 2017, all new and replacement cards issued were HID iClass Contactless Smart Card with Prox. Once our current supply is exhausted, we will begin issuing cards (as described in the Card Specification Section). |
